Watch Weval in 2016
Weval is #6 in DJ Mag US’ ‘TOP 20 DJS TO WATCH IN 2016!’
CRAVING: A smooth transition from the wild night to Sunday brunch
Dutch duo Weval, consisting of Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers, met in film school in 2010. When they found out their love of creating electronic music was mutual, they decided to partner up as Weval. The two combined their worlds-apart backgrounds into a distinctive sound for their debut EP, ‘Half Age,’ released in March 2013. In November 2014, they dropped their four-track EP, ‘Easier’ via Kompakt and have since released house drenched two-tracker, ‘It’ll Be Just Fine’ and ‘Grow Up.’ Their unique perception of house and trip-hop influences their style. Hence, Weval’s work is something not to be taken for granted in a heavily saturated electronic music industry.
